How to choose the right fit for your flying style

This Skydiving Suit Fit Guide explains how Jedi Airwear skydiving suits are fitted and how to choose between a tight, standard, or relaxed fit. Every suit is made to measure in the UK and tailored to your flying discipline, comfort preference, and performance needs.

This guide explains the different fit options and helps you choose the best setup for your discipline, experience level, and comfort preferences.

Made to Measure – What That Means

All Jedi Airwear suits are:

  • Individually made to your measurements
  • Cut specifically for your chosen discipline
  • Adjustable in fit style (tight, standard, or relaxed)

You are not forced into a skin-tight performance fit unless you want it.

Fit Options Explained

🔹 Tight Fit (Fast)

Best for:

  • Freestyle / dynamic flying
  • Tunnel flying
  • Jumpers wanting a faster fall rate
  • Experienced flyers who want maximum precision

What it feels like:

  • Close to the body
  • Minimal fabric movement
  • Very responsive inputs
  • Athletic, performance-focused feel

Notes:

Not restrictive, but intentionally snug to reduce drag.

🔹 Standard Fit (Balanced)

Best for:

  • Most skydivers
  • Mixed disciplines
  • Team training
  • Flyers who want control and comfort

What it feels like:

  • Clean lines without compression
  • Enough room to move freely
  • Balanced fall-rate control

Most popular option across J2, CL, and FS suits.

🔹 Relaxed Fit (Slower / Comfort)

Best for:

  • Jumpers who don’t want a skin-tight suit
  • Camera flyers
  • Beginners
  • Coaches doing multiple jumps per day
  • Flyers wanting more drag

What it feels like:

  • Comfortable and forgiving
  • Extra airflow for slower fall rates
  • Easier layering underneath

Still shaped and professional — not baggy.
