Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about custom skydiving suits, sizing, production times, materials, delivery, tunnel use and ordering from Jedi Airwear.
How long does a custom skydiving suit take to make?
Current production time is approximately 4 weeks from receiving your completed measurements and payment. Please check the current production time shown on the website when placing your order, as this may vary during busy periods.
Are Jedi Airwear suits made to measure?
Yes. Every custom Jedi Airwear skydiving suit is made to measure using the measurements supplied with your order. This allows us to build the suit around your body shape, discipline and preferred fit.
What types of skydiving suits do you make?
We manufacture suits for freefly, RW, formation skydiving, belly flying, camera flying, wind tunnel use and other specialist applications. Two-piece options, bootie trousers and custom skydiving apparel are also available.
Are Jedi Airwear suits suitable for tunnel flying?
Yes. Material and fit options are available for both skydiving and wind tunnel use. The best material choice depends on your discipline, flying style and how regularly the suit will be used in the tunnel.
What is the difference between a freefly suit and an RW suit?
Freefly suits are generally designed around freedom of movement and dynamic flying, while RW and formation suits place more emphasis on stability, fall-rate control, precise body position and leg input.
Can I choose my own colours and design?
Yes. Our custom suits can be personalised with a wide range of colours, materials and design options. The exact options available depend on the suit model and the materials required for your chosen discipline.
What materials do you use?
We use different materials depending on the suit style, required drag, durability and freedom of movement. Reinforced fabrics and stretch panels are used in key areas where appropriate.
How do I send my measurements?
Measurements should be completed carefully using the Jedi Airwear measuring guide. For the best result, we recommend having another person take your measurements rather than measuring yourself.
What happens if I am unsure about my measurements?
If you are unsure about any measurement, please contact us before ordering. We would rather check the measurements with you before the suit enters production.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Jedi Airwear is based in the UK and ships custom skydiving suits and apparel to customers worldwide.
Are import duties and taxes included?
International customers may be responsible for local import duties, taxes or customs charges when their order arrives. These charges are not normally included in the product or delivery price unless specifically stated.
Can I order skydiving equipment as well as suits?
Yes. Jedi Gear Store supplies specialist skydiving equipment from leading manufacturers, including canopies, containers, reserves, AADs, helmets, altimeters and accessories.
